Optimize your processing time for Amazon

Fast delivery is an important factor for customer satisfaction and can also affect your ranking on Amazon. One important aspect of this is the processing time of your orders. Shorter processing time for higher customer satisfaction

One way to shorten the processing time on your orders is to set a "Shorter Standard Processing time". Customers prefer fast deliveries and a promise just one day earlier can make the difference between a customer ordering from you or not. By setting a standard processing time of 0 (Same Day) or 1 day, you improve your promised processing time for your entire inventory.

How to update your default processing time in Seller Central:

  1. First, go to the "Shipping Settings" page and click on the "General Shipping Settings" tab.
  2. Then scroll down to the "Processing Time" and click "Edit".
  3. Then select "Same day" (0 days), "1 day" or "2 days" and click "Save".

Optionally, you can also specify and save your order processing capacity. As a result, you specify how many orders you can process within your standard processing time. However, if you receive more orders than you can handle, protect yourself from late deliveries by adding an extra day of processing time for any orders that exceed your capacity.

ASIN-specific processing time for special products

For some products, preparation and packaging can sometimes take longer than for others. In this case, you can also set a specific processing time for these ASINs that differs from your standard processing time. This way, you can take advantage of a shorter processing time for part of your inventory.
