We don't build AI automation, AI influencers and GEO systems in theory – we run them in production in our own lab first. Here we show real own projects, first client projects and ready-to-use building blocks – with transparent comparison figures instead of marketing promises.

What are MadeByBrain's case studies?

The case studies at MadeByBrain are AI systems and automations we developed ourselves and run in production. We transparently distinguish between own projects, client projects, and demos or ready-to-use building blocks. The examples shown are current lab builds from 2025 and 2026 and complement our over 20-year agency history. All euro figures are calculated comparison values or projections, not tested results.

Hermes / B.R.A.I.N.

Self-hosted AI operations system for the agency on a dedicated Hetzner server (Ubuntu, ARM64), accessible as CLI, as a web app via Tailscale and as a Telegram bot. Foundation: Claude Sonnet and Opus via the OpenRouter API. Structured Markdown workspace following the single source of truth principle with persistent memory (USER.md, SOUL.md, TOOLS.md, KNOWLEDGE_RULES.md, one PROJECT.md per project). Eight specialized expert personas with delegation logic: Max (SEO and GEO), Luna (content and copy), Viktor (B2B sales), Dev (tech and automation), Sara (strategy), Felix (finance), Pablo (project management), Aria (prompt engineering and AI). Governance as differentiation: controlled model routing (Haiku for simple tasks, Sonnet as default, Opus only on request), human-in-the-loop for sensitive steps, truth hierarchy in knowledge management, cost control for the user. Integrated with n8n and Zoho One.

madebybrain.com

Migration of our own agency website with 1,094 pages from WordPress to Astro via GitHub, hosting on Cloudflare Pages, ongoing updates via a Cursor agent. SEO and GEO optimization in four languages, desktop Core Web Vitals at 100 percent.

Effort: four weeks. Calculated approx. €10,000 one-time saved, plus approx. €1,000 and approx. 30 hours of work per month, plus automated weekly blog posts in four languages.

Cart recovery workflow

Event-driven n8n workflow triggered via a Shopify webhook. Enriches customer history, lets an LLM decide on channel and tone, then executes. Double opt-in and GDPR-compliant triggering built in from the start, critical steps with human-in-the-loop. Compliance differentiation: GDPR-compliant sending solutions such as Brevo or an in-house SMTP server instead of US default tools in the critical path.

  • WISMO support agent (#2) – answers "Where is my order?" automatically, escalation only for edge cases.
  • Returns and refund automation (#3) – policy check via LLM, with the legal 14-day right of withdrawal as a DACH-specific feature.
  • Review monitoring with draft responses (#5) – sentiment analysis plus draft, human approval, no auto-post.

FAQ: Case studies, comparison figures & lab-first principle

Are the savings mentioned tested results?
No. All euro figures are calculated comparison values or projections showing which services a system replaces. The €52,000 per year for the Hermes system is a projection from the ongoing pilot phase since May 2026.
What is the difference between own project, client project and demo?
Own projects are systems we built for MadeByBrain and run in production ourselves. Client projects are implementations for clients with documented benefit. Demos and building blocks are ready-to-use workflows or MVPs we show as references or adopt into client projects — without claiming they are already fully rolled out.
Do you use the systems shown yourselves?
Yes. We follow a lab-first principle: Hermes, madebybrain.com, AI influencers and n8n workflows run with us before we recommend them or replicate them for clients. What you see here is not a concept deck, but productive or piloted use.
