For every client system we use Mittwald, a hosting provider with its data centre in Germany. The server is in your name, Mittwald takes care of maintenance, security and backups, we take care of your system.

What does hosting cost?

You pay Mittwald directly for the infrastructure, with no mark-up from us. We pick the right plans together in the intro call. Current prices are on the Mittwald website:

Standard mode and protected mode

Standard mode

For everyday tasks B.R.A.I.N. uses the strongest available models: DeepSeek V4 Pro via OpenRouter day to day, Claude via the Anthropic API or OpenRouter for demanding writing and analysis.

Protected mode

Confidential content is only seen by the open-source models at Mittwald in Germany. You decide which mailboxes, folders and topics belong there.

Your ChatGPT subscription

An existing ChatGPT subscription can be connected directly. A Claude subscription cannot, Anthropic’s terms do not allow it. The API is used instead.

To be honest: the German open-source models are weaker at reasoning than the best cloud models. That is why B.R.A.I.N. splits tasks instead of sending everything to one model.

Lab and production: why your system runs differently from mine

My own B.R.A.I.N. runs on a self-managed server. That is my lab, where I test new models, tools and workflows before they reach you. Your system runs on a managed server at Mittwald that is maintained, belongs to you and does not depend on my experiments.

Where is my data stored?
On a managed server at Mittwald in Germany, in your name. In protected mode only open-source models at Mittwald process your confidential content, without storage and without training.
How is this different from ChatGPT Business or Langdock?
There you rent access to a chat window per user and month. B.R.A.I.N. is a system you own, that knows your workflows and gets things done itself, always with your approval.
Can I use my ChatGPT subscription?
Yes, a ChatGPT subscription can be connected directly. A Claude subscription cannot, Anthropic’s terms do not allow it, so B.R.A.I.N. uses Claude via the API.
What is Hermes Agent?
Hermes Agent is an open-source agent by Nous Research with persistent memory, tools and scheduled tasks. It is the technical foundation of B.R.A.I.N. and available as a ready-made template at Mittwald.
How long does the build take?
Usually 4 to 6 weeks from the point when all access and approvals are in place.
Who is my contracting party?
Until 31 December 2026 Kayumari Consulting LLC (USA). From January 2027 your contracting party is in the EU, based in Portugal. The server, the hosting contract and the data always belong to you.
