Seller Report 2022: Further developments

Recently, we already shared with you some key insights from the Seller Report 2022 published by Jungle Scout. In the second part, we would like to go into more detail this time about how Amazon Sellers plan to expand further. We'll also look at the advertising strategies Sellers are using. You'll also learn which countries and regions are on the rise in the e-commerce space and which platforms are important. Products and advertising

In the last post, we already showed you which sales categories are the most important. It's also interesting to note that 50% of Amazon Sellers only sell 5 products or less. The average price range is $11 to $25. Now let's move on to advertising. About 85 percent of Sellers spend $2500 or less on advertising. Also, 16% work with an agency that organizes advertising matters. Sponsored Product Ads in PPC format are the most popular. Facebook Ads and Sponsored Brand Ads are also popular. Google Ads and Instagram Ads follow in 4th and 5th place.

Regions and sales platforms

The most important global marketplaces to which sellers are expanding are the European Union, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Mexico. Selling platforms that are currently trending are Walmart, Shopify, eBay, Facebook and Etsy.

Amazon Sellers Profile

Most Amazon sellers are Millenials. In addition, about two-thirds are male and have another job besides Amazon. The most popular business model in 2022 is private label. A quarter of sellers also plan to sell their own business in the future. It is also interesting to note that FBA is by far the most popular business model.

Challenges

The biggest challenge for Amazon Sellers, according to the Seller Report 2022, is getting customer reviews. Another challenge is finding the right products to sell. Many also struggle to manage their advertising and PPC.
