Products you sell on Amazon Renewed must be refurbished. This means that they are both repaired and tested for functionality. In addition, they should not only function like a new item, but also look as good as new. Accordingly, no obvious defects should be visible from a short distance. Since we are mainly talking about electronic items, it is also worth knowing that the performance of the battery may not be more than 20 percent lower than a new product. Furthermore, the latest operating system should be installed on the device.
Many electronic devices come with accessories. Accordingly, all necessary parts must also be included in the delivery according to the terms and conditions of Amazon Renewed. For example, remote controls must be paired with the respective TV set. If this is not the case, it must be apparent to the customer how to connect the parts. There is no obligation to include operating instructions. Amazon nevertheless recommends that existing manuals are also sent. Sellers are also required to remove all data from previous users of the devices.
Product packaging must be either new or original. You can tell if a box is new, for example, by whether the serial number matches the one on the device. Also make sure that products inside packaging do not touch each other. Devices with lithium batteries must also be labeled as hazardous materials. Any products you sell on Amazon Renewed must also be approved in the European Economic Area and, if you sell there, in the United Kingdom.
Amazon requires Amazon Renewed sellers to have an internal quality management system. As a seller, you must also note that the rate of order defects must be below 0.8 percent. Negative reviews may also only be present in one tenth of purchases. On average, your reviews should be above 4 stars. Furthermore, there is still the "Renewed Quality Score", which must be above the value of 98 percent. By the way, Amazon may check the quality of your products with the help of test purchases.
For ASINs, you need to keep in mind that you can only create one per product. There is also a special rule for Apple products. For these items, it is not allowed to create new ASINs at all. Instead, you need to contact the sales partner service for this.

Finally, let's move on to pricing. According to the Amazon Renewed terms of participation, the prices must be lower than the new version of a product in any case. Accordingly, the items must be at least 5 percent cheaper. Otherwise, Amazon may remove your products from the Renewed category.
