This post is about how business sellers can make a price adjustment on Amazon. This information can save you valuable time. There is also a new safety note regarding the shipping of smartphones with lithium batteries. Last but not least, we would like to remind you about the new product types on Amazon.
What’s new with the Amazon price adjustment?
The new Amazon price adjustment is designed to help sellers by eliminating the need to edit each of their listings individually to set a new price for them. With the help of the new rules, business sellers can now change business prices and quantity discounts fully automatically. The whole thing only works if you configure certain parameters. These are the lower and upper limits for prices and the SKUs. If you have any further questions about how quantity discounts are calculated, please write to us briefly and without obligation.
Note on smartphones with lithium batteries
Amazon has recently drawn attention to the fact that the legal requirements for smartphones with lithium batteries must be complied with when shipping these items. Accordingly, you cannot benefit from exemptions that apply to other dangerous goods. Consequently, the requirements you must comply with include the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), the Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) of IATA (International Air Transport Association) and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
New product types on Amazon
Amazon introduced new product types in April and is therefore reiterating that these can be selected when creating a new listing in Seller Central. Your existing listings will not be affected by the changes. However, you can use the new product types to supplement your listing. As always, you can find more up-to-date information in our blog.
That was the most important Amazon news this week. Do you have any further questions about the new rules regarding Amazon price adjustments? We will be happy to provide you with advice and support in this regard. Simply send us a message – without obligation, of course.
We look forward to hearing from you.
