Amazon delivery: How to shorten the processing time

This week we have a lot of interesting news for Amazon sellers again: On the one hand, it is about how you can shorten the processing time of your Amazon delivery. Secondly, we would like to remind you to check your payment service provider by the end of the month. We are also talking about the rate of valid tracking numbers.

Faster Amazon delivery

With a faster delivery time, you can collect bonus points from your customers. Accordingly, the likelihood that they will buy from you again increases. There is a trick to ensure faster Amazon delivery: You can set a default processing time of just one working day in the shipping settings. As a result, the delivery time of your Amazon items is shortened. In addition to repeat purchases initiated by faster service, new customers on Amazon also see when a fast delivery time is set. There will also be an Amazon webinar on 17 June where you can learn about faster Amazon one-day delivery.

Check Amazon payment service provider

Amazon sellers must audit their payment service provider by the end of May to ensure that it participates in the Payment Service Provider Programme. The programme was introduced in February 2021 and helps detect suspicious activity on the Amazon Marketplace. If you are still using an invalid service provider after the deadline, you will be subject to a longer payout holdback period. These can therefore amount to up to 21 days.

If you are still looking for a suitable payment service provider, we can recommend Payoneer. Payoneer has been part of the payment service provider programme from the beginning and holds the largest market share in this area. The company also offers numerous useful services for Amazon sellers, such as low-cost foreign transactions and loans for Amazon sellers without credit checks. You can find more information here.

HTML formatting is no longer supported

Regarding the offer information on detail pages, you must note in future that Amazon no longer allows HTML formatting. This regulation will apply from 19 July 2021. If you still use HTML after this date, this area will either be removed or not displayed correctly.

Rate of valid tracking numbers

Amazon points out that it is essential that you provide information on the transport service provider and the type of shipment, as otherwise the corresponding shipments can no longer be confirmed. In addition, you should always provide a valid tracking number to keep the rate of invalid numbers - which has been exactly 95 percent since April 2021 - low. This value is valid for the past 30 days. If your products including shipping do not exceed the price of 20 euros, they are not included in the rate of invalid tracking numbers.

That was the most important Amazon news this week. Do you have any further questions regarding faster Amazon delivery or the payment service provider programme? We will be happy to provide you with advice and support in this regard. Simply send us a message - without obligation, of course.
